West Central Railway Jobs – Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification To apply, you need to have finished 10th grade or an equivalent exam with at least 50% marks from a recognized board. For certain roles like Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology & Radiology), you should have completed 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Additionally, you must have a National Trade Certificate in the relevant trade from NCVT or SCVT.
Age Limit As of August 5, 2024, you should be between 15 and 24 years old. There are age relaxations for certain categories:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years (15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC)
- Ex-Servicemen: An extra 10 years, plus the years of service in the defense forces.
Application Fee
Here’s how the application fees break down:
- For General and OBC Candidates: ₹141 in total. This includes ₹100 for the application and ₹41 for processing.
- For SC, ST, PwBD, and Women Candidates: ₹41, which is just the processing fee.

Selection Process
We’ll pick apprentices based on a merit list. This list will be created by averaging your 10th-grade marks and ITI/trade marks. The list will be sorted by trade, division/unit, and community.
